Stuart Parkinson studied at the Winchester School of Art (1990-93) and Chelsea College of Art and Design (1994-95). In 1997-98 he was awarded the Abbey Scholarship in Painting at the British School at Rome. He moved from painting to drawing during his residency at the ACME Firestation studios in East London (2001-04). The drawings were shown in Sussex at his first solo exhibition, entitled Metromania (2003). On leaving London, Stuart worked at the Artspace Studios in Nottinghamshire, a period that culminated in an exhibition at Southwell Minster (2008). Stuart now lives and works in Leicestershire.

This website illustrates a number of works exhibited in Southwell (below), along with those of Metromania and older works from 1993-94 and 1997-98.
